NBA Jam iPhone Review

NBA Jam just hit the app store and so far I would say that the game is fantastic. It goes for 4.99 which is a very reasonable price point. The graphics look great with very detailed and well animated players. The game runs silky smooth on my iPhone 4. My only complaint as far as the graphics goes is that the court seems a little dark. Nothing that impacts gameplay but I would like to see things a bit brighter in an update. The controls are spot on and are easy to use despite not having physical buttons. I never felt like the controls were getting in the way. The sounds are amazing with all the great one liners that you would expect from a Jam game.

Overall I am very impressed so far in my limited time playing. I recommend that you check it out for sure!

Update: I have completed 8 play now games and am still loving this game. The one thing I have noticed is that it is taking about 7 percent of my battery life per game played. I am playing with 3 minute quarters so depending on how long you set the game for and of course how healthy your battery is your mileage may vary.

NBA Jam IPhone

EA is bringing NBA Jam to the iPhone. I am very excited about this. I loved this game on the Sega Genesis and have been waiting for a on the go version for a long time. I skipped the latest version on the 360 but I will get this for sure as soon as it arrives on the app store.

Angry Birds Seasons

The new update to Angry Birds Seasons just came out today for the iPhone. It is called Hogs and Kisses and is a valentines theme. Lots of hearts and pig cupids but if you can get by that it has some really challenging new levels.

One really interesting thing you may notice is when you fail a level there is a new button to get hints from the Internet. What is interesting about that is the button is a Bing and Decide button which brings the user to the mobile Bing search site. Pretty neat idea on Microsofts part to partner with the dev to get their search engine in front of millions of eyes.

Angry Birds Super Bowl Commercial Secret

To gain access to the special golden egg go to level 13-12 which is part of the new Hang em High levels. Shoot the first yellow bird anywhere. Next shoot the white bird backwards and drop the egg to hit the ledge sticking out of the back of the hill. Hit it in the right place and you will get the secret golden egg to play the hidden Rio level.

Angry Birds

There was a free update this morning for Angry Birds that adds 15 new levels to the Hang em High stage. The levels are quite challenging and will keep even the most avid player busy for days trying to get 3 stars.

Remember to watch the Super Bowl add for the upcoming film Rio to find a secret code to unlock a special level in Angry Birds.

Also, next week there will be a Valentines Day update to Angry Birds Seasons that will be free for those of us who already own it.

I personally cannot get enough of this great game so I can't wait for all the additional levels to play!
