Time Warner drops plan to cap internet use.

Time Warner has decided against its plans to cap their customers internet usage. This is great news for anyone who ever goes online. I do not think other internet companies can be successfull in light of Time Warner's failure. I use Comcast and have a 250 GB cap which is reasonable but should be eliminated. Maybe this will spur Comcast to drop their cap as well. Personally, I use a lot of bandwidth a month and all for LEGAL reasons. I have my Netflix subscription and I also subscribe to MLB.tv so I stream a huge amount of data every day. Let us just hope that this will be the last we here of usage caps.

  2. They are already doing this with satellite internet. I am glad Time Warner decided against it. We pay enough for internet as it is but to lose maximum usage would not be fair.

  3. I agree with Jennie and I am also equally glad, if not more, that Time Warner stepped against it.

  4. Not sure if this is a good strategy for ISPs in the long run, but great news for consumers of course.

  5. I wasn't even aware of this since we use Comcast. They would have lost so much business if they would have gone through with it.

  6. Although I am happy to hear this, I am not sure we have heard the last of it.

  7. In India there are a lot of unlimited plans - each company has a lot of plans and you can choose what you want.
250 GB is still a lot!
