Well this is certainly interesting. It looks as though Apple is using jailbroken iPhones when creating their schematics for new patents. These images are from their patent filing. Notice anything odd in the red circle? Yup, those are the Installer.app and SMBPrefs, both only available on a jailbroken iPhone.

I do drafting work for a patent firm, and this doesn't really surprise me. Patent attorneys don't usually make their own drawings, but rather contract them out to a draftsman or graphic artist. I imagine the draftsman just pulled a random iPhone image from Google and traced it, and it just turned out to be a jailbroken iPhone in the image.
ReplyDeletewow nice explanation. And nice configuration they made in that product
ReplyDeleteI don't know what you are trying to state.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing such a great information.
ReplyDeleteIt's surely interesting. I never expected this from Apple.
ReplyDeleteApple can do whatever, it's their product. As long as the results benefit the customer, I could care less
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this info with others .
ReplyDeleteWhy wouldn't they use jailbroken iPods...with others developing the code for them it leaves them very little work they have to do themselves. Not to mention they can put anything on it without having to run it through their iTunes store.
